Official video for Born I Music’s new single “Ibex” feat pop diva Sherell Rowe. Shocking and provocative, Ibex is a hip hop meets go-go story about the light and dark sides of Washington DC.

Some more about this video: the opening scene and last verse are meant to be statements about the inevitability of death despite man’s attempts to distract himself with material possessions and physical pleasure. The woman with the sword represents Death and its beguiling nature. Born and his entourage throughout the video represent man’s resistance to the inevitable. How does it turn out? You’ll just have to watch and see. Not recommended for kids under 15.

“The Life”, a soulful, lyrical street record, is produced by G-Unit’s Ky Miller, who is responsible for such hits as 50 Cent’s “Nah Nah Nah”, G-Unit’s “Casualties of War” and Mobb Deep’s “Put Em In Their Place”, and features G&D artist MacGuyver on the hook.

The video, shot and directed by Julian Alexander, follows Born as he makes his rounds through DC, Maryland and Virginia signing endorsement agreements with the intensely popular local brewery DC-Brau, and Virginia based streetwear company Industry Made. Born is shown sporting a Challenger watch from his sponsor, UK-based watch company Kennett, as well as 3 different pairs of shoes from his longitme sponsor Heyday Footwear.
