THE HEYDAY MIXTAPE

Its Here! Click the covers to DL!

Thanks to Heyday Footwear Jules Renae & All the artists!!

“In celebration of Heyday Footwear’s launch of its Summer 2011 line, also including women’s sizes for the first time, Heyday Footwear is releasing a musical companion to the new line entitled, naturally, “The Heyday Mixtape”. At the direction of Heyday CEO Darin Hager, the project will be spearheaded by Heyday Brand Ambassadors Born I Music (aka Born Infinite, a Washington DC-based hip hop/electronica artist) and Jules Renae (Model and Director of PR & Marketing for Heyday Footwear and Head of Promotions for New England Hip Hop.com).

The primary goal of The Heyday Mixtape is to create a soundtrack that captures Heyday’s “street-meets-sleek” philosophy. Not only does Born I Music represent this philosophy, but all artists who wear and or represent Heyday (i.e. Twista, Elzhi, IAMEDIC, Jay Sean, Coolbeans, Flo Rida and Tony Yayo to name a few), are reflections of the company’s cross-genre ethic. The aim of The Heyday Mixtape is to highlight artists who, by their affiliation with Heyday, have proven that they are forward thinking and ahead of the curve both in their music and in their sense of style.
The mixtape will be a free download and for promotional use only, consisting of original material to be released via www.heydayfootwear.com, www.newenglandhiphop.com, www.bornimusic.com.

The Heyday Mixtape Drops 5/31 FEATURING: Born I, Mobb Deep, Coolbeans, Soul Khan, Shawnna, Twista, Ayah, HimmHott, KO The Legend, Mid-Summer Classic, Millyz, Youngstarr, EasyMoney, David Correy, Anjuli Stars, Asia Bryant, Waze, Suga SP, MacGuyver, Sketch, Young Riot, YV & Hollywood, Lights Over Paris, Game, IAMMEDIC & Edo G”

BORN I MUSIC ft MOBB DEEP “LIMELIGHT”

It was just six months ago that Born I Music rapped that he had “old Mobb Deep in his ipod shuffle” in his groundbreaking “All I Want is You” Freestyle. As fate would have it, 6 months later, the world has both Born and Mobb Deep together in the scorching new single, “Limelight”. Produced by DC’s J-Scrilla, ‘Limelight’s heavy drums and cinematic samples let Born, Havoc and Prodigy remain true to form, trading crazy heavy bars over Scrilla’s paranoid, hypnotic production. “Limelight” serves as the lead single for Heyday Footwear’s “Heyday Mixtape” (it was the Mixtape’s co-exec producer Jules Renae who brought Born & Mobb Deep together, clearly a wise choice!). The Heyday Mixtape drops May 31, available via TheHeydayMixtape.com. Get that!

“Limelight” written by Born I Music & Mobb Deep, Produced by J-Scrilla, Mixed & Engineered by AJ Halpern/Monomental Music Group. Sponsored by Heyday Footwear. GET THIS SONG BY DOWNLOADING THE HEYDAY MIXTAPE #ItsNotHype

Cornerstore thoughts

A monk once told his students, “You’re all perfect just the way you are, but you could use a little more work.” What do you think he meant by that? Just thinking out loud>>>

I’m like a young Marvin in his Hey(day)

What’s poppin y’all? Well if you’ve been following my tweets recently you know that an exciting partnership has just taken place between your’s truly and an infinitely awesome, high-fashion footwear company. Namely, Heyday Footwear

Boston-based model, fashionista and music industry consultant, Jules Renae, who was recently cast as a lead in my upcoming video for “Time”, knew about my fetish for nu-fashion hightop footwear and thought that Heyday and I would be a good fit. She couldn’t have been more right. Jules introduced me to Darin Hager, Design Guru and Chief Everything Officer at Heyday Footwear. After a few tweets and a phonecall, the deal was sealed. A few days later, the official announcement was made on Heyday’s blog
Heyday Footwear newest Brand Ambassador Born Infinite is the very embodiment of Heyday Footwear Shoe Math design process…different trends mixed together to create something entirely new and original…
If there was ever a match made in heaven, this is it. I mean, look at these kicks…

Catch me rockin these in my next video

#GTFOH

I’d like to take this moment to thank the great folks @ Heyday Footwear for believing in me and my movement. Stay tuned to my upcoming videos, photoshoots and general appearances for the latest shoe math designs from Heyday. This is how its done, kids. Let’s get it.

Catch me in a pair of all-white Heyday Super Shifts in the upcoming video for my single Memory Lane. Am I the first rapper in my city with a shoe deal? The answer is “yes”. Shoutout to Heyday Footwear. G&D wins again. Let’s go.
